If you are a typical American you live a busy life. This busy life probably includes rushing to and from work, dropping off kids, picking up kids, running errands, keeping house, taking care of a family, and trying to enjoy life. Obviously you have to save time where you can. Many of us try to consolidate trips and schedule our time so it is more organized and structured. Time management is key to enjoying life’s simple pleasures. After all, if we do not manage the minutes of our days we will not have time to enjoy those simple pleasures.

Although this idea is not recommended for everyone, it is a method that some use. Many people not only try to run as many errands as possible in one trip but they also try to do it as quickly as possible. This means they might save several errands for one day of the week instead of spreading them out over several. They then plan their route with stops going and coming. They will likely begin by stopping by all the places necessary along the route while in route to the farthest distance before beginning the return trip. The process is repeated, with stops being made along the way back.

As mentioned, everything is done in a hurry. This includes the driving. The legal speed limit is oftentimes forgotten and it sometimes happens that the individual gets pulled over by a police officer. Carpooling mothers have shared a secret in a recent blog post about this. It seems that after several of them received tickets for breaking the speed limit they found a solution. Believe it or not, the way out was simply to make the police officers laugh.

But the mothers shared that the trick is to be inconspicuous about this attempt at humor. According to them, in the past year, out of five stops, three tickets have been avoided. Here’s all they did, they made it a point to wear funny vintage t shirts when they ran errands.

These fast driving mothers say that vintage t shirts work like a charm. The blog post included the following information, “The police officer continues with the checking of the license and registration but in most cases the funny t shirt is an ice breaker”. And according to them, an ice breaker is all it takes to avoid a ticket. The officer is most likely going to talk to you about the risks involved with driving beyond the speed limit and the importance of watching your speed. The blog ends with this, “As long as you were only a few miles per hour over the limit you are likely to get off with a simple warning”.

This is a new use for funny tshirts. Unfortunately the blog post did not include information about the type of t shirt the mothers wore. We can only imagine that it did not include offensive humor.
